ClearanceFood.com is an online auction platform that facilitates the buying and selling of clearance food, surplus stock, and excess inventory. We connect buyers and sellers in a zero-waste marketplace.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Types

• Buyers: Can browse and bid on auctions
• Sellers: Can list items for auction (subject to approval)
• Admins: Platform administrators with management capabilities

4. Buying and Selling

4.1 For Buyers

• Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn once placed
• You are responsible for payment upon winning an auction
• Items are sold "as is" - inspect listings carefully
• You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4.2 For Sellers

• You must accurately describe all items listed
• You are responsible for shipping items to winning bidders
• All listings are subject to approval by platform administrators
• You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Platform fees may apply (see fee schedule)

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• List prohibited or restricted items
• Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresentation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
• Use automated systems to place bids or manipulate auctions
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Violate any intellectual property rights

6. Payment and Fees

All payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Buyers are responsible for payment upon winning an auction. Sellers may be subject to platform fees and commission. All fees are clearly disclosed before transactions are completed.

7. Disputes and Refunds

Disputes between buyers and sellers should be resolved directly. If a resolution cannot be reached, you may contact our support team. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with our refund policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of ClearanceFood.com and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClearanceFood.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform and its users.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
