For shops & traders

Wholesale clearance food for shops and traders

Stock your shelves for less. ClearanceFood is where independent retailers, convenience stores, cafes and market traders buy surplus, short-dated and end-of-line food and drink — by the case, pallet or full lot, at prices below a normal cash and carry.

A smarter way to restock than the cash and carry

Running an independent shop means margins are everything. ClearanceFood connects you directly with brands, wholesalers and retailers clearing surplus, overstocked and short-dated food and drink. Because they need the stock gone before it dates or ties up warehouse space, it lists well below standard wholesale — so the same branded lines cost you less and sell for more.

You buy online and have it delivered, or collect it where offered — no membership card, no wasted trip to a depot to find the deal has gone.

What you can buy

Ambient groceries and cupboard staples, soft drinks and water, confectionery and snacks, household and cleaning products, plus chilled and frozen lines for shops with the right storage. Lots are sold by the unit, case, pallet or full job lot, so you can buy at the scale that suits your shop.

How buying works

Some lots are fixed-price Buy Now; others run as auctions where you set your price. Public lots are open to any buyer. Register your business, complete a quick approval, and you also unlock B2B and wholesale-only lots and larger pallet quantities. Every listing shows the price per unit, case and pallet, the dates, and delivery or collection terms up front.

Delivery, collection and invoicing

Consumer-size lots go by tracked courier; pallets move on freight, with the cost shown before you commit. Where a listing offers collection, you can pick up from the seller or our Harlow base to keep costs down. Orders produce an invoice-friendly record with VAT shown where it applies. See our delivery and collection guide for full coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Can independent shops and market traders buy on ClearanceFood?

Yes. Convenience stores, off-licences, discount shops, cafes, takeaways and market traders can all buy surplus and short-dated stock by the case, pallet or full lot. Public Buy Now and auction lots are open to everyone; register a business to unlock B2B and wholesale-only lots.

How is this different from a cash and carry?

A cash and carry sells at standard wholesale price. ClearanceFood lists surplus, short-dated and end-of-line stock that sellers need to move, so prices are typically well below wholesale. You buy online and have it delivered or collect it, instead of driving to a depot.

What margins can a shop make on clearance stock?

Because clearance lots are priced to clear, the gap between your buying price and normal retail is usually wider than standard wholesale. Every listing shows the price per unit, case and pallet so you can work out your margin before you bid or buy.

Do I get a VAT invoice for my business?

Yes. Orders produce an invoice-friendly record with VAT shown where it applies, so the stock is straightforward to put through your books.

Is short-dated stock safe to sell in my shop?

We sell best-before (quality) stock, not anything past its use-by (safety) date. Best-before food is legal to sell and safe to eat beyond the date; check each listing’s dates against how quickly you expect to sell it.
